The Pediatric Pulmonology & Respiratory Care Department at Riley at IU Health provides expert, family-centered care to children with chronic breathing disorders, lung conditions and abnormalities and sleep-related breathing conditions. Children from newborn through adolescence receive advanced diagnosis and treatment through our department and specialized programs.
Comprehensive Treatment for Your Child
Your child will receive care from a multidisciplinary care team. Depending on his or her condition, members may include doctors from specialties such as otolaryngology (ear, nose and throat), gastroenterology and adult care, as well as nurse coordinators, social workers and pharmacists. Together, they will work with you and your child's primary care doctor to develop a thorough evaluation, treatment plan and follow-up program to meet the specific needs of your child.
We offer care for children with conditions such as asthma, cystic fibrosis and sleep disorders at convenient locations across Indiana.
We continually conduct research to develop new therapies that improve patient care. Although these include leading edge medicines for asthma, much of our research focuses on medicines and devices for treating cystic fibrosis. Patients in clinical studies can receive the latest medicines before they become widely available. If you and your child are interested in participating in a clinical study, your child's primary care doctor or pulmonologist can determine eligibility.
