Through our partnership with Indiana University School of Medicine, we offer a wide range of continuing medical education (CME) opportunities, including, but not limited to:
- Grand Rounds: The IU School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics conducts a weekly Grand Rounds education series. Grands Rounds are held on Wednesday mornings from 8 am – 9 am on Zoom and in-person. Access the Zoom, or view a recorded presentation.
- Pediatric Pearls: Review current scientific advances as they apply to daily clinical practice. Participants will advance their diagnostic and therapeutic skills through practical, evidence-based topics. Learn more about Pediatric Pearls continuing education.
- Continuing Education in Healthcare Professions: The Office of Continuing Education in Healthcare Professions is the preeminent provider and accrediting body of comprehensive and innovative lifelong learning opportunities for healthcare teams in Indiana.
- Simulation Center: The Simulation Center at Fairbanks Hall leads simulation practice on mannequins and immerses current and future doctors in computer-simulated surgeries and complicated emergency room dramas.
- Community Outreach Simulation Program: Improves outcomes of newborns requiring resuscitation and stabilization by providing onsite simulation-based education to delivery room resuscitation teams.
- Simulator Instructor Course: Incorporating simulation-based medical education into clinical practice can increase safety, decrease medical errors, improve clinical judgment and promote self-confidence. This intensive course, trains healthcare providers in the skills necessary to initiate a simulation program.
- Center for Physician Education: The Center for Physician and Advanced Provider Education is a collective of outstanding programs designed to provide a significant impact to providers by providing a range of programs, educational opportunities, and resources.
- Perinatal Center: Riley Hospital for Children is a designated Perinatal Center by the Indiana Department of Health. The purpose of the Perinatal Center is to coordinate perinatal care with our affiliate hospitals in the Riley Perinatal Network to improve outcomes for pregnant women and newborns.
