Join us for the 59th Annual Riley Children’s Health Pediatric Conference May 8 – 9, 2024, with the first day being virtual and the second day in-person.
This event brings together more than 200 primary care healthcare professionals such as general pediatricians, family medicine and APPs from Indiana and surrounding states. Participants are those who have an interest in learning more about current evidence-based diagnostic and management tools pertinent to their pediatric practice.
This year’s theme is “Pediatric Hot Topics 2024,” with an emphasis on specialties including child abuse pediatrics, primary care, child neurology, pediatric emergency medicine, child and adolescent psychiatry and more.
Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Recognize how trauma presents in children, and how the presentation makes mimic other common childhood conditions.
- Know simple strategies to help families cope after trauma.
- Describe how positive childhood experiences relate to later mental and physical health.
- Identify strategies to emphasize positive childhood experiences with patients and families.
- Gain knowledge about strategies to identify and treat children with hearing loss.
- Confidently identify which children need referrals for abnormal head shapes.
