Cleft & Craniofacial Anomalies Program
The cleft and craniofacial anomalies team at Riley at IU Health includes board certified pediatric plastic surgeons, therapists and nurses. They are dedicated to helping children who are born with craniofacial anomalies by improving facial form and function. The team provides care for a full range of craniofacial anomalies, including cleft lip, cleft palate, jaw deformities, congenital ear conditions and facial trauma.
Our expert craniofacial surgeons received intensive training in facial reconstruction and perform customized surgeries to help each child with his or her specific difficulties. Riley Heart Center
Cardiologists with the Riley Heart Center offer complete treatment for children with many heart conditions, including congenital heart defects and heart infections. They provide tailored care using customized surgeries and advanced solutions to help children with even the most complex heart conditions. Through our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, children can receive around-the-clock, intensive heart care as they are treated for congenital heart defects.

Urology

Become an International Patient at Riley at IU Health
For your child to become a patient at Riley at IU Health, you will need to fill out the form located on the right-hand side of your screen and submit your child's most up-to-date medical records and radiology images. Our pediatric specialists and international patient services team will review your child's information to determine if he or she is a candidate for treatment at Riley at IU Health.
If your child is a candidate for care, an international patient coordinator will contact you to offer support and guidance. Your coordinator will work with you, your insurance company or government to secure financial clearance.
We offer support services, including bilingual patient care navigators and certified medical interpreters. Your navigator will help you enjoy a comfortable stay and be with you throughout your child’s appointments so your family can focus on your child’s recovery. You will always have a certified medical interpreter available when speaking with your child’s care team whether in person or through telephonic interpreting services.
After your child’s care is complete, our team will work to ensure your child receives the care he or she needs at home. We will send you copies of all your child’s medical records and images, communicate with your child’s primary care doctor and make sure you have all the prescriptions your child needs throughout his or her recovery.
Traveling to the United States
The international patient services team at Riley at IU Health is dedicated to making your trip to the United States easier. From obtaining a visa to finding a place to stay during your visit, we provide valuable support through all steps of your travel.

We will give you documentation to speed up the processing of your child's and family members’ visas to travel to the United States.
Travel and Transportation
The Indianapolis International Airport (IND) is the closest international airport. It is located approximately 20 minutes west of downtown Indianapolis and the Riley at IU Health campus. For general information about this airport, please visit the Indianapolis Airport website.
Once you arrive in Indianapolis, our staff will coordinate ground transportation to meet your family and take you to your hotel. Our navigators will give advice on the best way to travel between your hotel and Riley at IU Health, register your child and attend all your child’s appointments, tests, procedures and other outpatient services.
