Ashley Henschen noticed some concerning symptoms in her two-year-old daughter. Layla was very thirsty and her diapers were constantly wet. The toddler also seemed irritable. Ashley eventually contacted Layla’s doctor, who conducted a urine test. The test revealed Layla’s blood sugar was extremely high. The family was instructed to go to the Riley Hospital for Children Emergency Department. Layla was then diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Now, Ashley wants to raise awareness about this condition.
