Dr. Nawal Kassem is a board-certified oncologist who specializes in breast care for IU Health. She earned her medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine and returned there for an internship and residency. 

Dr. Kassem’s practice philosophy is centered around the individualization of patient care because she understands that each patient has a unique story that extends beyond their cancer. Her priority is to ensure that all her patient’s concerns and questions do not go unanswered. In addition to caring for breast cancer patients, Dr. Kassem’s clinical interests include cancer prevention in individuals with genetic mutations that elevate their risk for cancer. 

In her free time, Dr. Kassem enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and close friends.
