About Me
Dr. Garrett H. Bastin, DO, is a Family Medicine Resident with a strong foundation in comprehensive patient care across outpatient, inpatient, obstetric and procedural settings. He is experienced in managing a full spectrum of conditions and is passionate about evidence-based medicine, medical education and community health.
Dr. Bastin earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2021. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a major in exercise science and minors in chemistry, biology and Spanish at Indiana University in Bloomington. He holds an Indiana Osteopathic Physician license and is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, Indiana Osteopathic Association and the Fort Wayne Medical Society.
He has experience as an outpatient medical scribe for multiple specialties at Lutheran Medical Group and as a student researcher in the Indiana University Student Education and Research Fellowship Program, where he contributed to multiple studies and presented at research conferences. Dr. Bastin serves as Chief of Didactics for the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program, organizing and leading the residency didactic curriculum. He is actively involved with Camp Watcha-Wanna-Do as a planning committee member and former counselor, dedicated to supporting children surviving cancer. He has also served as a youth group co-leader with Youth for Christ/Campus Life.
