Emma G. Poirier, PA-C

Emma G. Poirier, PA-C, is an advanced practice provider specializing in general pediatric orthopedics. As a certified Physician Assistant within Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, she treats conditions including:

• Fractures
• Sports medicine
• Developmental dysplasia of the hip
• Club foot
• Gait abnormality

Poirier received her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, and her Master of Clinical Medical Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Barry University in Florida. In 2023, she received her board certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and joined Riley Children’s Health.

As a lifelong Hoosier, Poirier was passionate about returning to her hometown of Carmel, Indiana and serving the community where she was born and raised. She is dedicated to providing individualized care to fit the needs of each child, and also getting to know your child as more than a patient. By having an open conversation with the patient and family members, she can better understand concerns and help explain your child’s diagnosis and treatment in easy-to-understand terms.

Outside of seeing patients, Poirier enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, being outdoors and cheering on her favorite sports team.
