About Me
Dr. Christopher Collier is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in the management of benign (non-cancerous) and malignant (cancerous) bone and soft tissue tumors in children and adults. He has particular expertise in:
- Benign bone and soft tissue tumors
- Bone and soft tissue sarcomas
- Surgical management of metastatic bone disease
- Complex joint- and limb-sparing surgery
He is committed to providing patients the highest quality of care with empathy and compassion. He works with patients and their families, using the best available evidence and techniques, to develop and enact a personalized treatment plan.
Dr. Collier is a native Midwesterner who earned his medical degree from the University of Chicago. After medical school, he completed his Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. There he was elected as an Emerging Leader for the American Orthopedic Association and was awarded the Carter-Makley Award by his peers for his clinical excellence and leadership. He then completed a Fellowship in Orthopaedic Oncology at the University of Chicago.
Dr. Collier is a dedicated surgeon-scientist who leads innovative basic science and clinical research to improve outcomes for his patients. He is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery within the Indiana University School of Medicine. He has authored numerous publications, textbook chapters, earned multiple research awards and grants, and presented his research nationally and internationally.
