At Riley Children’s Health, the Pediatric Pancreas Program treats infants and children with pancreatic diseases. From acute to chronic pancreatitis to pancreatic tumors and pancreatic birth defects, we provide expert diagnosis and advanced care for all types of pancreatic conditions. Conditions treated:

  • Acute, recurrent and chronic pancreatitis
  • Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency
  • Pancreatic tumors
  • Pancreatic duct strictures
  • Pancreatic fluid collections (cysts and pseudocysts)
  • Pancreatic trauma
  • Pancreatic anatomic abnormalities
  • Hereditary disorders of the pancreas

With a multidisciplinary team approach, our team of nationally recognized pediatric gastroenterologists, pediatric surgeons and other subspecialists collaborate to provide personalized care. Our specialists are also nationally and internationally involved in leading-edge research to find new ways to treat pancreatic disorders. We are a member of the INSPPIRE (International Study Group of Pediatric Pancreatitis) consortium, one of only 26 sites throughout the world, dedicated to improving diagnosis and treatment for pediatric pancreatitis.

Together, we offer multiple services to diagnosis and treat pancreatic diseases including genetic testing, advanced imaging, pancreatic function testing, nutrition management, acute pain management, Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ECRP), and pancreatic surgery.
