Riley Children’s Health names nationally recognized pediatric leader as new Physician-in-Chief
INDIANAPOLIS - Riley Children’s Health has named Dr. Douglas K. Graham as its next physician-in-chief, bringing a nationally recognized pediatric physician-scientist and leader to Indiana’s largest children’s health system. Dr. Graham will also serve as chair of the Department of Pediatrics at Indiana University School of Medicine.
With more than 25 years of experience caring for children, leading research and developing innovative treatments, Graham brings a passion for improving outcomes for children with complex medical conditions and expanding opportunities for families who rely on Riley for care close to home.

Throughout his career Graham has led efforts to advance pediatric research and develop new treatments, particularly for children with cancer and other complex conditions.

Graham began his new role August 1, 2026, succeeding Dr. Wade Clapp who has served as physician-in-chief of Riley Children’s Health and chair of the IU School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics for nearly two decades.
