Employed Provider

Kelly Deakins, MS CCC-SLP, graduated with her masters degree from Southern Illinois University in 2018 and has worked in outpatient pediatrics her entire career. Deakins loves getting to establish meaningful relationships with parents and their families. It is her goal to bring smiles to her patients every therapy session and create positive change between the first time the patient walks through the front doors to the last.

Deakins is an "expert generalist", treating a variety of conditions including expressive-receptive language disorders, speech sound impairments, fluency disorders and feeding/swallowing challenges in toddlers and older children. She specializes in the treatment of Inducible Laryngeal Obstruction, a voice disorder.

When not at work, Deakins enjoys experimenting with a new recipe in the kitchen, ripping up yet another part of her yard to expand her garden and spending time with her husband and two sons.
