Karrie A. Theoharis, CGC

Karrie joined Riley Maternal Fetal Medicine in 2008. Originally from Iowa, Karrie received her B.A. in Biology and Psychology from Luther College (Decorah, Iowa - 2000) and Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of Iowa (2006). She then graduated from the University of Minnesota with a M.S. degree in Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biology, and Genetics (Genetic Counseling) in 2008.

Karrie is board certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling and is licensed in the state of Indiana. She is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) and the Indiana Network of Genetic Counselors (INGC). Karrie has been active in many areas of genetic counseling, including clinical work, the Kate Cares Stillbirth Assessment Program, genetic counseling research and teaching/supervising genetic counseling graduate students. Currently, she is a member of the NSGC Prenatal and Spanish Development Special Interests Groups.
