My goal is to ensure referring physicians and their care teams are updated on their patients that have been transferred to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health. With more than 16 years of experience in the Riley neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), my goal is to improve communication and continuity of care for children and their families as they are being transferred to Riley at IU Health. In doing so, I plan to ensure that referring physicians and their teams have a direct line of communication about patient updates to NICUs, pediatricians, obstetricians and maternal fetal medicine physicians.

My educational background has prepared me for my role as the NICU ambassador at Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health. I received my undergraduate degree in biology from Indiana University followed by a master’s in nursing with a neonatology specialty from Vanderbilt University.
