Riley Hospital for Children Flu-related Visitor Restrictions in Place for NICU

Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health flu-related visitor restrictions have been lifted. However, because babies, especially those who are ill or premature, are at higher risk of serious complications if they get the flu, visitation restrictions are still in place for all Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) until further notice.

Bio: Ellen Avoletta received her Doctorate of Audiology (AuD) from Illinois State University. She completed her 4th year clinical externship at Carle Hospital in Champaign, IL where she worked with hearing aids and cochlear implants. She also performed diagnostic testing on pediatric and adult patients. She joined Riley Hospital’s Cochlear Implant Program in 2016, and greatly enjoys working with both children and adults.
