Dr. Hanson is the Division Chief of Pediatric Rheumatology at Riley Hospital for Children. Prior to that he was an investigator at the National Institutes of Arthritis, Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases in the intramural program of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. He completed postdoctoral training at NIH and subsequently established a diagnostic and evaluation program to study individuals with complex immune dysregulation syndromes, serving as principal investigator of a rare-disease natural history clinical trial. His lab and clinical program is focused on elucidating molecular mechanisms of rare genetic autoinflammatory disease syndromes.
