Visitor Information
Visitor Information
All pediatric units have standard visiting hours, with the exception of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit from 8 am - 9 pm. All visitors must stop at the nurse’s station prior to visitation for final approval and pertinent instructions. Two visitors per patient per hour is the maximum number of visitors for non-immediate family. Nursing approval is required to extend visiting hours.
Visitors under the age of 18 are restricted to hospital lobbies and unit lounges and must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Underage visitors, including brothers and sisters, must be arranged in advance. Parents complete a health screen questionnaire provided by the Information Desk or Emergency Admitting staff. To visit nursing units, underage visitors must not have had exposure to chicken pox, whooping cough or measles in the past 22 days. They also must be free of a cold, diarrhea, cough, fever, sore throat, rash, runny nose or vomiting. When the results of the health screen are satisfactory, the completed questionnaire is taken to the nurses' station for final visitation approval by unit nursing staff.
Visitor Hours for Patient Care Units

Parents cannot stay at bedside in Intensive Care Units. If your child is on an Intensive Care Unit, limited overnight accommodations are available in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Parent Lounge areas.
