Having pruned fingers and toes from hanging in the pool for days on end is a fond childhood memory of many. For years children have been flocking to the nearest public pool to dive, splash and cannonball. Those unbearably hot summer days can make it impossible to do anything but go to the pool and cool down. Whether you have your own pool or travel to the nearest public pool, it is great to cool down with a nice swim.

If you and your children are spending a lot of time at a pool, we want you to be prepared. Sun and pool safety were a few of our Summer Safety Tips for Kids that we encourage you consider before heading out to the pool. To make sure you’re well prepared for a day at the pool, use the following list as a guide for what to pack:
