Watch as Carter Hears Sounds for the First Time!

Carter Ellis had his cochlear implant activation recently. Soon after working with the Riley audiologists, Carter was smiling and showing reactions to sounds around him.

Carter's parents learned he was deaf a few months ago and tried having him use hearing aids. But, tests revealed the hearing aids were not really helping him. So, they moved on to the idea of cochlear implants.

They say they're already seeing tremendous progress in Carter!
