In its latest annual report, Riley Children's Health is showcasing a breadth of medical advancements and innovations across 40+ pediatric specialties. Overall, Riley Children’s is home to an array of pediatric excellence, providing skilled expertise to children with the most complex diagnoses. Notably, we’re recognized for multiple achievements:

  • Seventh-ranked children’s hospital in the nation for National Institutes of Health (NIH) research funding
  • A designated Platinum Center of Excellence by the Extracorporeal Life Support Organization
  • Home to a Level IV NICU that is ranked eighth out of 46 U.S. centers for the number of comorbidities present on admission

Specifically, within our renowned cardiology and heart surgery program, our expert physicians are consistently elevating care for patients with cardiac conditions. Distinctions include:

  • The only pediatric and adult congenital transplant program in Indiana, as accredited by the Adult Congenital Heart Association
  • National leader in patient outcomes with mortality rates below the benchmark
  • One of the few programs in the nation capable of implanting total artificial hearts in children

Additionally, our world-class pediatric pulmonology department offers excelled treatment for patients with respiratory and sleep conditions. Key highlights include:

  • One of the largest cystic fibrosis programs in the nation and the only program in Indiana accredited by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
