Who doesn’t love the Spring? With plenty of 5K races, parades and community activities for the whole family to engage in-the options to enjoy the season seem endless. You may also be planning to celebrate delicious spring meals. This is definitely a delicious way to enjoy warmer weather and green leaves popping up everywhere. However, you should not let your family’s health go out the window.

Breakfast

Start your day with this Pear and Arugula Smoothie. This great green alternative combines kiwi, grapes and banana along with Greek yogurt for a deliciously creamy treat.

Next, serve up a short stack of Carrot Cake Pancakes. With the ingredients typically found in a carrot cake, these pancakes taste decadent but clock in at a relatively low 315 calories meaning their great for your waistline.

Lunch

For a healthy lunch your kids will love, try this Chicken Soft Taco recipe. For dessert, simply add a piece of fresh fruit like an orange or a bag full of local strawberries. With a lunch like this, your child will be the envy of the cafeteria.

Dinner

Simple and delicious, this Roasted Wild Salmon and Dill dish is a great way to end your celebrations on a high note. Served with a side of Cut n’ Come Collard Greens and traditional Green Onion champ, everyone will be left satisfied.
