Riley Hospital for Children Flu-related Visitor Restrictions in Place for NICU

Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health flu-related visitor restrictions have been lifted. However, because babies, especially those who are ill or premature, are at higher risk of serious complications if they get the flu, visitation restrictions are still in place for all Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) until further notice.

Dr. Paul Haut Named to IN Graduate Medical Education Board

Governor Mike Pence appointed Paul Haut, MD, to the Graduate Medical Education Board.

Haut is interim president and chief medical officer at Riley at IU Health, and associate professor of pediatrics at Indiana University School of Medicine.

The Board oversees the expansion of medical education in Indiana through the funding of new residency program slots at licensed hospitals.

"This is an opportunity to guarantee that we are meeting the healthcare needs of all Hoosiers by ensuring we are training the next generations of physicians for the state," says Dr. Haut.

The two-year term runs from January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2017.
